Anjela and Adam’s wedding at Bast Brothers Garden Center was one of those rare jewels of a wedding where it was both elegant and special, yet laid-back and intimate. Weddings at Bast Brothers tend to be like that. The venue is suited well for smaller gatherings and the indoor-outdoor feel of the space lends itself really well to a fun, relaxed wedding day.
From the first time meeting Anjela, I knew her wedding day was going to have a real simple elegance to it. Her dress was sleek and modern and she topped off her gown with a sweet little capelet ! (We debated all day on what to call it, but I think capelet is perfect).
Wedding Portraits
Wedding portraits at Bast Brothers are so fun because literally every corner of that place is photogenic. What’s not to love about a country garden center in the early fall! Anjela and Adam also had their much loved pupper join them for a few family portraits! So cute!
I teased Anjela because when we first started doing portraits at the beginning of the day she was like THE most awkward, ‘what do I do with my arms?!’ person, then a half hour later with Adam she turned total ANTM, all smizing and fierce. Either she was holding out on me or being around the person you love most in the world helps you forget about how weird it is to have your picture taken. My guess is the later. 😉
Ceremony & Reception | Bast Brothers Garden Center
The decorations she chose were sort of minimalist, modern rustic with lots of greenery. I totally appreciated all the DIY touches she added to her tables, including the name cards! To me, Anjela and Adam’s wedding epitomized the idea that an elegant, well-realized wedding day doesn’t need to be crazy expensive or over the top. I think I’m a little partial because it reminded me of a classier version of my own wedding day (we even used the same BBQ caterer!) I loved that they kept their guest list intimate and had a relaxed, joyful evening with their closest loved ones in the greenhouse.
Anjela and Adam, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! Your wedding was one of the most fun, heartfelt weddings I’ve been to all year. Congratulations on your new life together and I hope you had an amazing time in Greece!!
