Faye & Randy | David’s Country Inn Wedding

Faye and Randy’s wedding at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ was amazing! Rarely do I ever get to know a couple as well before their wedding day as I did Faye and Randy. I had the joy of getting to know them as a couple and as parents and even got to do a little photo session with their boy Julian last fall! Needless to say, I love love Faye and Randy and their family and was so excited to be there on the day they got married.

Wedding Portraits

When I texted Faye the day before the wedding that it looked like it might rain, she was just as unconcerned as I thought she would be haha! That’s just the kind of people Faye and Randy are. Not to mention, their venue had plenty of beautiful indoor and covered locations where we could do their wedding portraits. Plus, I’m always a sucker for wide porches and hanging ferns. Faye and Randy totally had this glamorous, vintage vibe going on for their wedding day look and I think the setting at David’s Country Inn really complimented that.

Wedding Ceremony | David’s Country Inn

There were a few really special touches that made their wedding day even more meaningful.  One of those special touches they incorporated was a Filipino wedding tradition. During their ceremony they included the 4 symbols, which I’ve never seen before! Faye explained it for me :
– The unity candle represents two lives becoming one.
– Thirteen coins represent all the gifts of marriage. Love, Trust, Commitment, Respect, Joy, Happiness, Harmony, Wisdom, Wholeness, Nurturing, Caring, Cooperation, and Peace.
– The veil represents their commitment to protect each other, to cloth each and be protected by each other’s love and loyalty.
– The cord is to bind their love, to unite their lives as one and to connect souls.

Wedding Reception | David’s Country Inn

After the ceremony was over, the wedding space was transformed into their reception! I loved the colors and the classic, elegant decorations they chose. They have such cool taste! Plus, I loved the national park touches they added to their centerpieces. Faye’s father passed away this summer but his presence was definitely felt in the charms she wore on her bouquet and the beautiful tribute they had to him at the reception. They had a memorial table set up as well as a touching slideshow for their guests to enjoy with them.
