Lauren and Christian’s wedding at the Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ was a long time coming.

Last year they were married in a very intimate, lakeside outdoor ceremony in their hometown. This year, the wedding day they had dreamed about and planned for finally came to life!

Imagine surviving a pandemic, changing your wedding date and waiting TWO YEARS to wear your wedding gown only for it to rain the day you finally get to celebrate. 

That was the situation in the morning as Lauren and Christian were getting ready.

A rainy forecast can break most couples even in the best of circumstances, but not Lauren and Christian. 

When the virus canceled their first wedding day, they decided marriage was still the most important thing. 

When rain threatened to move their ceremony indoors, they didn’t freak out. 

Ultimately the rain did clear up just in time for them to have their ceremony outdoors! While we were still waiting out a misty rain, we did some pictures with the bridesmaids under the Bradford’s wide porches.

So, after almost a year of marriage, Lauren and Christian walked back down the aisle and reaffirmed their love for one another in front of a crowd of their favorite people. From the looks these two were giving each other, you would never guess this was their second time at the altar!

What I love so much about their love story is that even though they knew they would have to wait to have their dream wedding, they still decided to get married anyway. Couples like Lauren and Christian inspire me because they’re proving that marriage still matters more than the wedding day!
