Randi & Mark | Scotland Run Wedding

Getting Ready

Something crazy happened the morning of Randi and Mark’s wedding; Even though the forecast for their wedding day was nothing but sun all weekend, a thunderstorm came out of nowhere, fast and furious across the golf course at Scotland Run. Ironically, Randi was inside the bridal suite hanging with the bridesmaids and sippin’ champagne and was none the wiser!
It just goes to show, you can never really predict the weather, even when it seems like a sure thing. The best advise I can give my couples is to plan for the worst, hope for the best, and have the right people around you to handle any situation that comes up!

First look and Portraits

After the rain cleared out that morning, Randi and Mark met in this little garden near the wedding ceremony location at Scotland Run for their first look.
Besides the big reveal, they also chose to read vows to each other! I love when couples give themselves these little built in moments to reflect on their wedding day. Once the ceremony gets going and the guests arrive, the hours feel like they disappear in a flurry of activity.

Mark and Randi are a lot of fun together so doing portraits with them was a breeze! Even though they both told me they’re awkward in front of the camera, I knew better. We had so much fun at their engagement session last year, I knew they would be effortless.

Sunset Portraits | Scotland Run

Any time a couple wants to sneak away for a few minutes to do sunset portraits, I am all for it! We did these portraits in less than 10 minutes flat, sandwiched between the big events of the night. With the sun peeking out and golden light all around, these portraits have a totally different feel than the ones at the beginning of the day. By this point in the day, the pressure is off!
