Sahar & Charles | Liberty Hall Museum Wedding
Sahar and Charles’ wedding day at Liberty Hall Museum was one to remember. I’ve done well over 100 beautiful weddings at this point, and the ones that really stick in my mind aren’t just aesthetically gorgeous, they’ve also got a genuine love that the center. I don’t blog too much anymore, but the warmth and joy present on Sahar and Charles’ wedding day was begging to be shared!
Before the wedding day events at the Liberty Hall Museum, the bride and groom got ready separately on different floors of their home. I love when couples can get ready at their home or their parent’s home. I love the way getting ready in your own home incorporates the context of your real life into your wedding day story. Sahar & Charles have amazing taste in decor too, so the getting ready pictures are stunning.
First Look
Can we take a moment for the way Charles looks at Sahar! Friends, this is what every bride is hoping for when her groom sees her for the first time. If you look closely, you can see her mom peeking out the window. Not pictured : her bridesmaids standing by with tears in their eyes just out of frame!
Portraits
When we got to the Liberty Hall Museum, we did wedding party pictures near the rose garden and took advantage of all the beautiful scenery. We decided to break up portraits with Sahar and Charles into two different sessions, one before and one after the ceremony. We got plenty of variety location wise, and I love that we got to take moments apart throughout the day to capture the way they were feeling in portraits together.
Wedding Ceremony | Liberty Hall Museum
Sahar and Charles’ ceremony was a unique point in the day. They incorporated Sahar’s heritage in their wedding by having a Persian sofreh wedding table, traditions, and vows during their ceremony. I loved the way Sahar’s Persian and non-Persian loved ones got involved with the ceremony proceedings. We were situated in an actual arboretum orchard which totally added to the magic of the moment.
Portraits
After the ceremony, Sahar and Charles read their vows to one another privately in the garden. It wasn’t a moment that was planned, but it worked out really perfectly to be a special moment between the two of them. Even after 7 years of weddings, I still get emotional at moments like this. There’s nothing sweeter than two people totally in love.
Reception | Liberty Hall Museum
When I tell you this wedding reception was literally what dreams are made of… I mean come on guys! Their cocktail hour was set up beneath a grove of trees lined with cafe lights, and dinner was hosted open air on the lawn. Kids were running barefoot through the grass as the sun set and the bride and groom were toasted by candlelight. Did I mention the weather was an actual dream?
