Getting Ready | The Refinery at Perona Farms

Julie & Erdwin got married on a perfect day this September at the Refinery at Perona Farms! Talking to them beforehand, I really got a sense of their vision and I’m so glad it came together perfectly for them. When I did their engagement session, I could tell they had great style and I loved seeing the special details they incorporated on their wedding day to make it feel even more like them. One of those details was an amazing, glittery cathedral length veil and his and hers sneakers for later on in the night!

We scheduled more time at the beginning of the day for Julie & Erdwin and I think it really paid off! We were able to have some really sweet moments with her bridesmaids as well as a little first look with her dad!

Bride & Groom Portraits

After the bridesmaids got their first look and her dad got his first look, it was finally time for Erdwin to see his bride for the first time.
As it happens sometimes on days like this, we had to keep him waiting for a little while while we finished up inside, but maybe the anticipation made the first look even sweeter 😉

There were a ton of awesome photo locations around the Refinery at Perona Farms, so we tried to choose the ones that matched the vibe of the day. The greenery wall in the ceremony space was too good to pass up on and the light streaming in from the windows was perfection!

Wedding Party Portraits

I may be biased, but I think rust is a universally amazing color on everyone. That said, Julie’s maids were honestly popping in autumn hues! The men wore classic tuxes with fall colored touches in their bow ties and boutonnières and they looked amazing together. As you can tell from the pictures, they were a lot of fun to work and easy to get laughing.

One of the cool things about the Refinery at Perona Farms is this atrium where the ceremony took place! Since it was such a gorgeous fall day, all the sides were open while Julie and Erdwin exchanged their vows. For all of those wondering if a first look ruins the walk down the aisle, just take a look at Erdwin’s face when he sees her coming!
