Jess and Brian’s wedding at Penn Oaks Golf Club was aaaamazing! Jess and Brian are like the sweetest couple ever. I loved doing their engagement session at Longwood Gardens and I was super excited to be there on their wedding day!
Jess and Brian met and fell in love while at college in West Chester. They ended up loving the area so much that they bought a home there too! Their wedding ceremony was held in St. Agnes church downtown, which was beautiful! It was important to them, and very fitting, that West Chester served as the backdrop to their wedding day!
We did some fun portraits of the wedding party in Historic West Chester before heading to Penn Oaks Golf Club for the reception.
Jess and Brian did their portraits outdoors around the Penn Oaks property. There’s the golf course, obviously, but Penn Oaks also has a really pretty landscaped garden area that was just lit. up. with golden evening light. Soo dreamy!
(Seriously, editing these pictures of Jess and Brian I had such a hard time choosing just a handful for the blog!)
At the reception, guests enjoyed an indoor- outdoor dance floor experience which worked perfectly on such a pleasant September evening. Their wedding was actually September 21st, so naturally we got a little Earth, Wind and Fire nod after their first dance, which I’m always here for.
In talking to Brian and Jess, family is so important to them both. Jess gave these sweet keepsake handkerchiefs to her parents, she carried loved ones on her bouquet charms, and they both made sure to take lots of pictures with their big extended families!
You guys already know how I feel about the importance of family on your wedding day, and these two really went out of their way to make everyone feel special and involved. I’m so thankful to work with couples who know what the day is all about, and these two definitely do.
Jess & Brian, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! You guys are some of the sweetest, most genuine people I’ve met and I loved being there for the first day of your marriage.
God bless your years together!
