Alison and Seth’s wedding at Running Deer Golf Club was summertime sublimity! I’m telling you guys, I think morning weddings might be the perfect wedding-hack. You jump right into wedding activities first thing, you beat the heat of the midday sun, plus, you get to enjoy the soft, filtered light of the morning for portraits. I’m all for it!
Because they wanted to do a first look, we got to go out early and wander around the course a little bit. Rosebud Florist did an amazing job with their ceremony arch, so I was excited to use that in some of their portraits along with the rustic, woodsy scenery that the pines afford. And, let me tell you, their first look was theeee cutest! Seth’s look of adoration upon seeing his bride for the first time was absolutely priceless!
One of my favorite parts of Alison and Seth’s wedding day was their wedding ceremony. You guys already know handwritten vows are my faaavorite, so I loved that they wrote and exchanged their own. Set against the backdrop of pine trees, Alison and Seth became husband and wife before a crowd of tearful wellwishers. You know it was an emotional ceremony when even the officiant was getting choked up! Blame it on the pregnancy, but I was getting a little choked up too, especially when two of their bridesmaids got up to sing a song on guitar. It doesn’t get any sweeter than that!
Being a morning wedding, Alison was a little worried about whether or not people would dance at the reception. Well, I have to tell you, she had nothing to worry about. Not kidding, at one point during the reception, literally every single guest was out of their seats and dancing. Alison and Seth got the party going and their guests followed suit! Running Deer put on an amazing wedding reception as always, and the party felt just as lively and joyful as you could hope for!
Congratulations Alison and Seth!! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! It was such an honor to be there on the day your marriage began. God bless your years together and all the amazing adventures to come!
