Guys. Megan and Mario’s wedding day at the Madison in Riverside was just absolutely perfect. I feel like I say it after every wedding but truly, I so loved working on their pictures. I couldn’t stop smiling! This was such a joyful day. Megan and Mario couldn’t have been more in love or more excited to be saying yes to forever.

When I first met with Megan and Mario, they laid out their vision for a wedding day with enchanted forest vibes, and let me tell you friends, enchanted it was! First of all, Megan is an art teacher, so her creative talents were definitely on full display, but even the location she chose for portraits had that same feel.

Their first look location was in this woodland grove of dense trees down a long gravel path. It was so beautiful and Mario was just completely smitten when he saw Megan and her goddess-esque dress.

When it came to their reception, Megan and Mario incorporated details of woodland moss, floating bubble candles and rough hewn wood slices into their centerpieces. It felt very unique, yet classic at the same time.

One of my favorite moments during the day was when Megan’s grandma got up to speak to the couple about marriage during their ceremony. It’s not something that I’ve ever seen done before, but I think it should happen at every wedding.

It was beautiful and emotional, especially because she had lost her husband after a marriage of 62 years. It was so powerful to hear someone with six decades worth of marriage wisdom share with two people who were beginning the very first moments of married life. She told them all the things that they needed to know to have that kind of marriage, not least of which that they should laugh often!

Looking at the pictures, Megan and Mario are off to a good start. They laugh easily together, they love being around each other, and even more than that, people LOVE being around Megan and Mario. It’s easy to see why their friends and family were so overjoyed to celebrate the start of their new life together.

Megan and Mario, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! I loved getting to know the two of you and I’m wishing every blessing for you guys in the beautiful years to come!
