Shannon & Jon | Fairmount Park Wedding

From wedding day portraits at iconic Philadelphia locations like the Art Museum and Fairmount Water Works to their heartfelt ceremony and champagne toast in the Fairmount Arboretum, Shannon and Jon’s wedding was sublime. My goodness! I could not have designed a more perfect intimate wedding day in Philly. It was wonderful!

Shannon and Jon’s wedding day was unique for a lot of reasons, but one of my favorite features was getting to spend plenty of time with them for portraits before the ceremony. When you have a wedding this small, I feel like you have the flexibility to really make it exactly what you want it to be.

While they are a fun and laid back pair, Shannon and Jon also made the day super sentimental by infusing the day with meaning. Rather than doing a unity candle, they potted a unity plant, which I loved even more! When everything is stripped down to the most basic elements, everyone you choose and everything you choose is that much more intentional and special.

I will surely look back on this season of micro-weddings and elopements as one of the most touching of my career.

Congratulations again Shannon and Jon! It was my joy to be there to document the beginning of your married life together. Best wishes on the journey ahead!
