Hayley and Drew’s wedding at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington was what dreams are made of.

Seriously, when I met Hayley and her family for the first time at a coffee shop near where she grew up, I had a feeling I was in for something good. Hayley is so welcoming and down to earth; I was excited to meet Drew and work with the two of them!

On their wedding day I kept hearing from their friends and family just how kind, generous and accomplished they both are. I could totally see it. They’re a great team together!

During their ceremony at St. Anthony of Padua in Wilmington, that’s one of the things the priest talked about: being a team and building the foundation of your marriage on the solid rock. Humility, gratitude, forgiveness, loyalty and service- They’ve found these qualities in each other, and they’ll serve as a firm foundation as they grow in their relationship together.

For their reception, they invited wedding guests back to DuPont Country Club where I got to do some more portraits of everyone. Not only are their families great, but their friends were a really fun group too. (Which, I’m sure you’ll get a sense of from the pictures!) Hayley and Drew themselves make each other laugh easily and often, so portraits with them were a delight, not to mention the fact that we caught the most perfect glowy October sunset!

Hayley and Drew were not only lovely to work with, but their style was totally classy and elegant. I’m all about the timeless look, so I could really appreciate the thoughtful way they put their day together from the attire and invitations to the table centerpieces.
