Fortescue always reminds me of the days when I got my first real camera. Those were the days of mini adventures with Alex or my brother- driving around, hoping to discover every hidden pocket of landscape in South Jersey.
Fortescue on the bay shore was probably the most magical of my discoveries so I was really excited when Jess and Nik suggested this spot for their engagement session.
Apparently, this is a special spot for Nik too. He remembers summer days roaming the island as a kid. For those who’ve never been, it’s a far-flung, drive until the road ends kind of place. It’s marshes and horseshoe crabs, and calm shores and beach box ruins.
Quiet and romantic.
This engagement session was a few of my favorite things in one evening: a cloudless sunset on the beach, fabulous company and a tiny town on the bay shore.
I had such a fun time with Jess and Nik. I’m so happy for these two and for what their future has in store!
